The HID divers work light.
It is designed for use on the seabed on a work site where diving operations will take place for an extended duration, such as hydratight operations, cleaning, welding, tie-ins etc.
A single central light unit plus up to 3 further satelite units can be supplied & controlled from the one power supply enclosure, to illuminate a complete work site from all points of the compass.
Using satelite lighting greatly reduces lighting induced back scatter. Thus improving diver safety & surface supervisor' visibility. The higher more even light levels will result in much improved diver video surveys. The adjustable light bracket can allow one light to be dedicated to the upwards direction to assist in locating descending loads from the surface.

Diver work Light (HID)
The lights are 24VDC / 50W / 5600Lm / 6000K HID lights, utilizing aircraft technology from USA & Germany. They are basically aircraft landing lights operating at a diver safe voltage. They are powered from the central oil filled pressure compensated (re-chargeable) 24VDC battery enclosure.

The power supply can run up to 4 lights & is available in several sizes ranging from 80A/hr to 240A/hr. (80A/hr illustrated). A single light has an operating duration of up to 90 hours, or 3 lights for 30 hours of continuous use, between charges, using the 240A/hr battery enclosure.
The system is designed for discrete deployment using its own crash frame (basket) & lifting sling set, alternatively, it can be deployed in the diver work basket. Each light has a 3 stage telescopic boom & an adjustable 'pan & tilt' light mounting bracket using large diameter knurled adjusters for ease of use by the diver.
The system can be tugger or crane deployed & then disconnected from the surface reducing the number of down lines from the surface. It can be fitted with a transponder & wet stored on the seabed for later recovery during busy operations.

The system can be fitted with a hydroacoustic switch & installed semi-permanently in a location such as a template or other sensitive area to facilitate safer diver & ROV oerations.
